Choosing a tyre shop
What makes a Dubai tyre shop worth trusting
Ranking lists of the top ten tyre shops are usually paid for. A short checklist of what good shops do tells you more than any list.
- 4.9 from 8,640 reviews
- Fitting tyres since 2016
- Prices published openly
Best tyre shop Dubai
The short answer
The best tyre shop in Dubai is one that shows you the DOT date, publishes its prices, torques your wheels to spec and has a long record of honest reviews. 800 Tyres has been fitting tyres since 2016, holds a 4.9 Google rating from 8,640 reviews, and comes to your car 24 hours a day with fitting at AED 100.
Why we did not write a top ten list
Search for the best tyre shop in Dubai and you will find plenty of ranked lists. Most are written by one of the shops on the list, or by a directory that charges for placement. We could write one with ourselves at number one, but it would not help you choose. Instead, this page lists the things that separate a good tyre shop from a bad one, so you can judge any shop, including us.
Seven things a good tyre shop does
- Shows you the DOT date before fitting. The four-digit code on the sidewall gives the week and year of manufacture. In the UAE a tyre counts as expired five years after that date, so a tyre that sat in a warehouse for three years has lost most of its legal life before it touches the road.
- Publishes prices. If a shop cannot tell you over the phone or on WhatsApp what fitting and balancing cost, expect the price to change once you are in the bay.
- Quotes the full fitted price. Tyre, fitting, balancing, valves and disposal of the old tyres in one number. Extras added at the end are the most common complaint in reviews.
- Uses a torque wrench. Wheel nuts finished only with an impact gun are often over-tightened, which can warp brake discs and strip studs, or under-tightened, which is worse.
- Recommends repair when repair is safe. A nail in the centre of the tread can usually be plugged for a fraction of the cost of a new tyre. A shop that always says replace is not on your side.
- Tells you the exact model, not just the brand. Every major brand sells several ranges at different prices and quality levels.
- Disposes of old tyres properly. Old tyres should go to a licensed recycler, not back onto someone else's car as a cheap used tyre.
Reading reviews properly
A high star rating matters less than the pattern behind it. Look at how many reviews there are, how far back they go, and what people complain about in the one and two-star reviews. A shop with a 4.9 rating from twenty reviews tells you very little; one with thousands across several years is harder to fake. Look for mentions of specific technicians, specific areas and specific cars. And read how the shop responds to complaints: a calm, specific reply is a good sign.

Three questions worth asking before you book
Whoever you contact, ask the same three things: what is the total fitted price for my exact size, what is the DOT date on the tyres you will bring, and what is included with the fitting. A shop that answers all three clearly in writing is usually a shop you can trust with the rest of the job.
Where a fixed shop is still the better choice
We are a mobile service, and honesty about that matters. A fixed workshop with a level alignment rack is the right place for a four-wheel alignment, and rim straightening needs specialist equipment. We send those jobs to partner workshops rather than pretending a van can do everything. For tyre supply, fitting, balancing, puncture repair and spare tyres, a well-equipped van does the same job outside your home or office. If you prefer to compare walk-in options in Dubai's main tyre district, our Al Quoz tyre shop page covers what to check there, and the Dubai tyre shop page lists all our services and prices.

What UAE drivers say
-
Khalid Al Mansoori MirdifFlat tyre on the Patrol at 11 pm outside the house. Technician was there in 35 minutes, had the right 20-inch tyre in the van and finished in half an hour. Price was exactly what they told me on WhatsApp.
-
Priya Raman JLTBooked a set of four Michelins for my CR-V. They fitted them in the basement of my building while I was on calls. Showed me the manufacture date on each tyre before fitting, which nobody has ever done for me.
-
Mark Dela Cruz Al Nahda, SharjahScrew in my tyre on a Friday morning. They plugged it in the car park, checked the other three and set the pressures. AED 80, done in 20 minutes.
-
Sarah Whitfield Arabian RanchesPaid with Tabby for new tyres on the Range Rover — split into four, no interest. The guy was careful with the wheels and left the driveway cleaner than he found it.
Common questions
Common questions
How do I know if a Dubai tyre shop is reliable?
Check that it shows DOT dates, gives a full fitted price in writing, uses a torque wrench, and has a large number of reviews going back several years.
What Google rating does 800 Tyres have?
4.9 stars from 8,640 reviews. We have been fitting tyres in the UAE since 2016.
Should a tyre shop always recommend new tyres?
No. A clean puncture in the tread up to about 6 mm can usually be repaired safely. Sidewall damage, large holes or a tyre driven flat need replacing.
Are listicles of the best tyre shops in Dubai reliable?
Treat them with caution. Many are written or paid for by the shops they rank. Your own checks on DOT dates, prices and reviews are more useful.
Flat tyre? A technician can be on the way in minutes.
Send your location and a photo of the tyre sidewall. We'll confirm the price and arrival time straight away — 24 hours a day.
