The short answer
Pickups that carry loads need LT (light truck) or high-load-range tyres, especially in UAE heat. A working Hilux typically runs 265/65 R17; a Ford F-150 or Silverado 275/65 R18 or 275/60 R20. Highway-terrain tyres suit fleet trucks on tarmac; all-terrains suit trucks that also go off-road. Prices start around AED 320 per tyre fitted.
LT vs passenger tyres
Many pickups leave the factory on passenger-rated (P-metric) tyres that are fine empty but marginal when carrying a full bed of materials in 45 °C heat. If your truck works on construction sites in Dubai South, Al Quoz or Jebel Ali, upgrade to LT or commercial C-rated tyres. They have stiffer sidewalls, resist punctures from site debris and run cooler under load.

Pressures and load
Check the placard for both empty and loaded pressures. Running loaded at empty pressure is the fastest way to overheat a truck tyre.
