Mobile tyre service

Mobile tyre service: a full tyre workshop on four wheels

Our vans carry the same machines a tyre shop uses, so most tyre jobs can be done wherever the car is parked. Here is exactly what the van can do, and what still needs a workshop.

Mobile tyre service

The short answer

800 Tyres runs a mobile tyre service in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, with vans that carry a tyre changer, wheel balancer, compressor, nitrogen and a stock of common tyre sizes. Technicians fit, repair, balance and replace tyres at your home, office, basement or roadside, 24 hours a day. Fitting is AED 100 per visit and puncture repair starts at AED 80.

What is inside a mobile tyre van

A mobile tyre service is only as good as the equipment it carries. A man with a jack and an impact gun can swap a spare; he cannot fit a new tyre to a rim or balance it. Every 800 Tyres van carries:

  • A tyre changer that removes and mounts tyres on the rim, including stiff low-profile and run-flat tyres.
  • A computerised wheel balancer, so new tyres are balanced on the spot rather than "next time you pass a shop".
  • A compressor and nitrogen supply for seating beads and setting pressures.
  • A calibrated torque wrench to tighten wheel nuts to the car maker's figure.
  • Low-profile trolley jacks that fit under lowered cars and work in basement car parks.
  • A stock of common sizes for the cars we see most — Sunny, Corolla, Camry, Accord, RAV4, Tucson, Patrol and Land Cruiser.

Where our mobile technicians work

We go where the car is. That covers villa driveways in Arabian Ranches and Mirdif, office car parks in Dubai Internet City and Mussafah, tower basements in Dubai Marina, JLT and Al Reem Island, and the hard shoulder of the E11 or E311. Average arrival is about 30 minutes in Dubai and about 40 minutes in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, depending on traffic. Coverage details are on our Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi pages.

What the van does and what goes to a workshop

We would rather tell you upfront than turn up and disappoint you:

Mobile service against driving to a shop

The obvious gain is time: no queue, no sitting in a waiting room in Al Quoz while your car is on a ramp. The less obvious one is the condition of the tyre. A car with a soft tyre that is driven five kilometres to a shop often arrives with a crushed sidewall, and what would have been an AED 80 repair becomes a new tyre. With mobile service the car does not move until the tyre is fixed.

Price is the other surprise. People assume a mobile tyre service costs more than a shop. Our fitting is AED 100 per visit whether the van comes to you at noon or at 3 am, with no call-out fee on top.

How a mobile visit runs

  1. You send your location and a photo of the tyre size on WhatsApp, or call us.
  2. We reply with tyre options and a total price, then dispatch the nearest van.
  3. The technician checks the DOT date with you, lifts the car, and does the work beside it.
  4. Wheels are torqued, pressures are set and old tyres are loaded for recycling.
  5. You pay by card, cash, Tabby or Tamara, and the receipt comes on WhatsApp.

For a walk-through of a typical home or office visit, see tyre change at home.

Who uses a mobile tyre service

Our customers are not only drivers stuck with a flat. Families book us to replace a full set at the villa on a Saturday morning. Office workers hand over the key at reception in Dubai Internet City and get the car back with new tyres by lunch. Fleet managers in Al Quoz, Jebel Ali and Mussafah book several cars at once to change tyres across a delivery fleet between shifts. Owners of Teslas and other electric cars use us because their heavy batteries wear tyres fast and their wheels need careful jacking points. And owners selling a car book us to make sure the tyres will pass inspection before the buyer arrives. In every case the price is the same published figure, and the work is done beside the car.

Flat tyre on the Patrol at 11 pm outside the house. Technician was there in 35 minutes, had the right 20-inch tyre in the van and finished in half an hour. Price was exactly what they told me on WhatsApp.

Booked a set of four Michelins for my CR-V. They fitted them in the basement of my building while I was on calls. Showed me the manufacture date on each tyre before fitting, which nobody has ever done for me.

Screw in my tyre on a Friday morning. They plugged it in the car park, checked the other three and set the pressures. AED 80, done in 20 minutes.

Paid with Tabby for new tyres on the Range Rover — split into four, no interest. The guy was careful with the wheels and left the driveway cleaner than he found it.

Common questions

Common questions

Is a mobile tyre service more expensive than a tyre shop?

Not with us. Fitting is AED 100 per visit with no call-out fee, and tyre prices are the same as you would pay for the same tyre at a shop counter.

Can a mobile van balance new tyres?

Yes. Every van has a computerised wheel balancer, so new tyres are balanced on the spot at AED 25 per wheel, or free with a set of four.

Can you do wheel alignment at my home?

No. Alignment needs a fixed, level bay, so we book it at a partner workshop from AED 99 for a sedan or AED 149 for an SUV.

Which emirates does your mobile tyre service cover?

Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
