Flat tyre in Dubai? Stay put, we're on the way

First five minutes after a flat

1. Get off the live lane. Indicate, slow down gradually and stop as far right on the hard shoulder as you can, or take the next exit.
2. Hazard lights on, and place the warning triangle about 50 m behind the car on highways — it's required under UAE traffic law.
3. Everyone out on the side away from traffic, behind the barrier if there is one. In summer, shade and water matter more than the tyre.
4. Share your exact location on WhatsApp — a pin is far more useful than a road name on Emirates Road or the E11.

Don't keep driving on it. A tyre run flat for even a short distance usually can't be repaired afterwards, and the rim can be bent.

What usually causes flats in Dubai

Construction debris is the main one — screws and nails from building sites in Dubai South, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Hills and Al Furjan end up in tyres every day. Next come valve stems cracked by heat, slow leaks where the tyre meets a corroded alloy rim, and kerb strikes in tight car parks. Blowouts — a sudden, loud failure — are mostly caused by underinflated tyres running hot on the highway in summer, which is why we check pressures on all four tyres at every call-out.

Repair, spare or new tyre

The technician decides on site using the industry standard: a puncture in the central tread area, no bigger than 6 mm, on a tyre that wasn't driven flat, gets a plug-patch repair from AED 80. Anything on the shoulder or sidewall, or a tyre with structural damage, needs replacing. If you have a usable spare we fit it for the AED 100 call-out; if you'd rather not run on the spare, tell us your tyre size and we bring a new tyre matched to the other three.

Flat tyres at night

About a third of our flat-tyre calls come between 9 pm and 6 am, often from people leaving work late or returning from Abu Dhabi on the E11. Night prices are the same as day prices, and you'll get the technician's name and number by WhatsApp so you know who is coming.
