Tyre shop Abu Dhabi

The short answer

800 Tyres runs a mobile tyre shop across Abu Dhabi, 24 hours a day, with fitting at AED 100 per visit. A technician arrives in about 40 minutes on average with your tyres loaded, fits and balances them on the spot, and takes the old set away for recycling. New tyres start from AED 150 each fitted for an economy sedan size.

Where we work in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is a spread-out city, and most tyre shops sit in Mussafah or the industrial areas off the mainland. That means a 30-minute drive each way for anyone living on the island, in Al Reem or out at Yas, plus the wait at the counter. We flip that around. Our vans are positioned across the city through the day and night, and the average arrival time is about 40 minutes, depending on traffic on the bridges.

  • Abu Dhabi island — Corniche, Al Khalidiyah, Tourist Club Area, Al Mushrif and the downtown towers, including basement car parks.
  • Al Reem Island — residential towers with tight basement ramps. See our tyre change service on Al Reem Island.
  • Yas Island — villas, apartments and the hotel and leisure car parks. Details on the Yas Island page.
  • Khalifa City and the mainland suburbs — villa driveways, community car parks and school drop-off areas.
  • Mussafah — workshops, warehouses and labour-camp car parks, plus the residential sectors.

What a mobile tyre shop actually carries

A walk-in shop has a tyre changer, a balancing machine, a compressor and racks of stock. Each of our vans has the same kit, scaled to fit: a tyre changer that handles rims up to SUV sizes, a computerised wheel balancer, a compressor and a nitrogen supply, a torque wrench, low-profile jacks for lowered cars and basements, and a stock of the sizes we fit most often in Abu Dhabi. For anything less common, we confirm the size on WhatsApp first and load it before the van leaves.

Abu Dhabi has a high share of large SUVs: Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus LX and GMC Yukon on 18 to 22-inch rims. Those wheels are heavy and the tyres are expensive, so we bring the right machine, check the load index on the old tyre, and torque the wheel nuts by hand to the maker's figure rather than relying on an impact gun.

Abu Dhabi prices, published

Prices are the same as in Dubai and Sharjah, and the same at 3am as at 3pm. There is no night or call-out surcharge.

Brands we bring to Abu Dhabi

We stock 20 brands across three price tiers. For SUVs that spend weekends on the sand around Al Ain road or Liwa, owners tend to ask for BFGoodrich, Toyo, Nitto or Yokohama all-terrains. For city sedans and crossovers the usual picks are Michelin, Bridgestone, Hankook or Kumho, and for tight budgets Triangle, Zeetex or GT Radial. Every tyre we supply carries a recent DOT date, and the technician shows you the code on the sidewall before fitting.

Why Abu Dhabi tyres wear out early

Long, straight highway runs on the E10 and E11 at 120 to 140 km/h, combined with road surface temperatures well above 60 °C in summer, put more heat through a tyre than city driving ever does. Rubber hardens, the sidewalls start to crack, and under-inflated tyres build heat fast. Abu Dhabi Police apply the same AED 500 fine and four black points to expired tyres as to worn ones, as reported by Gulf News, so age matters as much as tread. If your tyres are close to five years old, replacing them before the summer is the sensible move.

Booking a technician

  1. Send a WhatsApp with your location pin and a photo of the tyre size on the sidewall, or just the car model and year.
  2. We reply with options at two or three price points and an arrival estimate.
  3. The technician arrives, shows you the tyres and DOT dates, fits and balances them, sets the pressure cold and takes the old tyres away.

If you would rather drive in, we can also book alignment and rim work at a partner workshop. For the wider picture across the emirate, see our Abu Dhabi tyre service overview.

Flat tyre on the Patrol at 11 pm outside the house. Technician was there in 35 minutes, had the right 20-inch tyre in the van and finished in half an hour. Price was exactly what they told me on WhatsApp.

Booked a set of four Michelins for my CR-V. They fitted them in the basement of my building while I was on calls. Showed me the manufacture date on each tyre before fitting, which nobody has ever done for me.

Screw in my tyre on a Friday morning. They plugged it in the car park, checked the other three and set the pressures. AED 80, done in 20 minutes.

Paid with Tabby for new tyres on the Range Rover — split into four, no interest. The guy was careful with the wheels and left the driveway cleaner than he found it.

Common questions

Common questions

Do you cover Abu Dhabi island and the mainland?

Yes. We work across the island, Al Reem, Yas, Khalifa City, Mussafah and the mainland suburbs. Average arrival is about 40 minutes, longer at peak bridge traffic.

Is the price higher in Abu Dhabi than in Dubai?

No. Fitting is AED 100 per visit in all three emirates, with no night or distance surcharge inside our coverage areas.

Can you fit 22-inch tyres on a Patrol or Land Cruiser at home?

Yes. The vans carry a tyre changer and balancer rated for large SUV wheels, and we torque the nuts by hand to Nissan or Toyota spec.

Can I get my tyres changed at night in Abu Dhabi?

Yes, we run 24 hours, seven days a week. A 2am call-out costs the same as one at midday.

Do you take my old tyres away?

Yes, at no extra charge. Old tyres go to a licensed recycler rather than being left at the kerb or resold.

Flat tyre? A technician can be on the way in minutes.
